I think that love is the principal topic in the book. The story with Anna and William is very beautiful. I like because I can see the evolution of the protagonist and their relationship. The story that an ordinary man can meet her favorite actress, and he have a relationship with her, because Anna like the way that he treat, because she have a lot of problems for the fame and she have problems with journalist too. And he helps her for all that she says. But this topic, the fame is another topic in the book that it’s important because Anna is the most famous actress in the moment. And people treat Anna very bad, especially her boyfriends, but the journalist too. And invented a lot of things about her that isn’t true and she pass a lot of bad moments for that, but William help her.

The film is about the thypical topic: money doesn't bring hapiness. We can see that because William's family and William's friends are happy, but Anna, who's got fame and a good job, isn't.
Anna show everyone that fame isn't as good as everybody think; she can't have a private life because the press is always following her, and she's annoyed for that reason. That's why initially she don't want to ask William out, and that's why William is disappointed by her (because she cares more for the press than for him).
But this is also a love story, an utopian one; to be in love with your idol and get her as partner... it's a dream for many people.

fame, friendship, money, love, the tabloids..
I completely agree with both coments. I like a bit more Júlia's coment because she speaks about the thypical topic: money doesn't bring hapiness... And the book explain us how unhappy is Anna a lot of times because of her fame. In my opinion be famous must be hard sometimes.. But if you're famous, you have a lot of money, and if you have a lot of money you forget a lot of problems like: how arrive at the end of the month, how pay a good education to you children, how pay a good holydays, etc.
And talking about love.. Yeah, an utopian love story. It could be real but it's so unprobable.

I’m agree with the others coments.
The book slpain that the love can appears when least expected and from completely different persons.
In the book Anna and Will are very different but how they loved the anothers things aren’t important.
It isn’t important that she is a famous actrees and he only booksheller, because she has a lot of fame and money but isn’t happy if he isn’t with she.
I think that in the life is given too much importance to the insignificant things ( fame, money etc...) and too little on that really is important( love, friends,family...).

I think the topics of the book are first the fame, because it was the reason why they can be together. The second was ofcourse the love between Anna and William.

I agree that money is necessary for live, and that money gives hapinees, but not always. I would like that the millions that exist in the world were distributing for all and to finish with the hunger... But it is impossible. I think that it isn’t good to have a lot of money but little either. It is necessary to know that to be able to be happy with what the life gives you. Notting Hill expresses topic of fame, love and friendship. But the most important is love between Ana and William . Their strange situation don’t separeted them. And friendship is important too because they are very joined.

Money doesn't bring happiness. Anne says that she's nt happy, and she's a very rich woman, because she has a diet since she was a girl, she hasn't privacity... I think that beeing famous it's so boring You cannot do anything without the others know it, and it's so hard living like this. People have to value more the privacity.

Money doesn't bring happiness always. Anna Scott talks with Williams , and she say: -I'm just a woman trying to be loved by a man.
Because despite her being famous, she want be a normal woman with a normal live.

The principal topic in this book is love because Anna falls in love for a poor person that she and Anna and William are in love. The money can't buy happiness. The happiness isn't what you want, but enjoy what you get.

(This is the correct comment)

The principal topic in this book is love because Anna falls in love for a middle-class person and she and William are in love. The money can't buy happiness. The happiness isn't what you want, but enjoy what you get.

The most important topic expressed in the book is the love, but also the book speaks about the fame and friendship.
The relationship beetween William and Anna is the most important reference to love.
Anna's fame is a problem in the relationship with William. Sometimes the fame is a problem and that is the prome that the book tries to express.

prome--->problem

hanks for all your comments.
When you write, watch out for the order of words (remember that in English, the sentence order is SVO, and we can't modify it).
Check your spelling before you publish, there are some common mistakes you can check without any difficulty.

It is a good idea as well to read what your mates have written and agree or disagree with them, to interact with their opinions.

I liked the book, because the story is very beautiful. I would recommend the book, I think that is interesting to know about the fame. There are a lot of good parts, one is when Anna give the first kiss to William, I like the William’s surprised face , also I like the sentence: “I’m also just a girl. Standing in front of a boy. Asking him to love her”. The worst part is when Anna found her boyfriend in the hotel’s room.

I think that the principal tòpic in the book is Love, because at all the book, Anna and Williams are in Love.
The second topic is the money because it are very important.

I liked this movie, because it is a peculiar love story. Occurs between a famous actress and a man on the street who meet by chance.
It seems a very nice story with a happy ending.

The book is a good theme: the love. I like this love story because it's a relly love story. They are a girl and a boy, but with totally different lives. In the book are the different stages of love. Although two people fall in love there are always problems and stained to fight hard for their love. There is also insecurity and fear, but when you overcome all the problems you're happy with that special person.

One of the topics that appears in this book is that the money doesn't make the happiness.
I agreed with this but I agreed with this but I it's true only some times because money it's necessary, because if you don't have, you can't have a house, a car and of course you can't have food and food it's necessary for live.
Summarizing, some people can have a lot of money but not be happy but, I'm sure that if you give to a poor family no a thousand of pounds but only some pounds or simply a work, they will be the most happy family in the word.

All these topics: fame, friendship, money, love and tabloids are very important and are what the book reflects. But I think the most important issues are the fame and money because they have lots of money, be rich, be very famous and very well known in the world can't buy happiness. The book is the case with Anna Scott. She is rich because it is a film star but she is not happy at all, she completes his happiness when he falls for the bookseller William Thacker a Notting Hill. William without money and without being known his greatest happiness is to be with Anna Scott.
Neither money nor fame is not the most important thing in life. There is much more important things for example friendship and love.

fame, friendship, money, love, the tabloids... all these topics are treated in this book, but in my opinion the most im portant topic, is "money doesn't bring happiness". Anna Scott is famous, beautiful, rich but not happy, all this says Anna, in Honey's birthday, and this can be shown that money is not everything, and I personally prefer to be poor and happy, than be rich and unhappy.

Fame is the one that separates their two worlds, Anna lives in the world of Hollywood stars and William in a world where money is not important. It was destined that Anna and William meet and love made them even more together. Love is the topic more present and constantly spoken of this. The argument revolves around love. That’s why love is the most important topic in the film, however they talk about friendship. William’s friends are important in the film because they save the relation between Anna and William.
